ERIN GELD ‘07

I grew up in Sao Paulo, Brazil and came to the US to go to Cornell in2003. I was an reasonable English major, I lived in shitty, lovable houses in Collegetown, worked in the Green Dragon Cafe and absolutely fucking HATED winter. As for finding the Public Journal, it was overcast, soggy for the 1232th day in a row and I was the most depressed of freshmen, when I was looking for something to read with my soup in the Temple of Zeus. After skipping my next class to read the good thing, I wrote embarrassing fanmail to Jonah and Dylan, semi-stalked them and showed up to every meeting and party (they had lots of parties— they had a Parrot Club). I introduced them to my high school girl Daniela Perdomo, who started one at Tufts. When they graduated, I was appointed Editor-in-Chief with EXCELLENT Maria Adelmann and we worked soooo hard! NOW, I live in San Francisco and work at 826 Valencia (literary non-profit), while still semi-stalking Dylan and Jonah.
