Dear Reader,
We are currently expanding. The Public Journal is now published at
Cornell University, Tufts University
, University of Michigan, Bates College, and it is currently brewing at Fairfield University, as well. If you would like to start a branch of The Public Journal in your area, please contact us. We will kiss you on the electric face. * DANIELA PERDOMO ‘07 I grew up mostly in Sao Paulo, Brazil and spent four pretty fabulous years at Tufts University, where I graduated from in 2007. I was an International Relations major, though I often don't self-identify as such, since I had nearly enough credits to be a triple-major in English and French, courses of study which indulged my love of words and the prosaic thread that ties them together. Erin Geld, my co-conspirator from my Brazilian high school days, introduced me to the PJ and, well, as they say, the rest is history. I started the PJ at Tufts, and ran it for the three years thereafter. Professionally, my love affair with language rages on, as a staff writer at the Los Angeles Times. You can often find me in a red Prius named Rose, speeding down the 101 past the Scientology Celebrity Centre and, depending on my mood, I'll either be bopping to Daft Punk's ineffable mastersong, "Technologic", or fancying myself Dustin Hoffman's close friend as Simon & Garfunkel's soundtrack to "The Graduate" plays on eternal repeat.
